Richland County School District One
Richland One is South Carolina's seventh-largest school district. The district manages 50 schools and education centers located from downtown Columbia out into suburban areas like St. Andrews and Lower Richland.

Recent scholastic achievements of note include nine A.C Flora and Dreher High School seniors named semifinalists in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program; two seniors were named semifinalists in the prestigious and highly competitive 2014 National Achievement Scholarship Program, which recognizes outstanding African-American high school seniors who are high scorers in their state on the PSAT; and a 16 year-old A.C. Flora High School student was among the presenters at the 2013 South Carolina Emerging Technology Conference. Faculty members have been honored with accolades including Outstanding New Career Technical Teacher, South Carolina Association of Career and Technical Education Teacher of the Year, South Carolina Dance Educator of the Year, and recipient of the 2012 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching in grades K-6.
Recent athletic achievements of note include five Richland One football teams competed in the first round of the state high school football championship playoffs; Richland One Elementary Water Safety and Swim Lessons program reached its 10,000th-student milestone; athletic coaches have received multiple state-wide honors for effective coaching.
